OXFORD, Miss. — Multiple media outlets are reporting that Ole Miss will hire former Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez as its next offensive coordinator.
Rodriguez was spotted in Oxford this weekend interviewing with Ole Miss coach Matt Luke, and according to Rivals.com's Chase Parham, Rodriguez has an offer from Ole Miss to be the next offensive coordinator. Rodriguez would be replacing Phil Longo as Ole Miss' offensive coordinator, after Longo left earlier this month for the same job at North Carolina.
Signing on with Ole Miss would end a one-year hiatus from coaching for Rodriguez, who didn't coach in 2018 after being fired from Arizona after six seasons connected to allegations of sexual harassment and the creation of a hostile work environment.
