Report: Knicks to convert Allonzo Trier’s two-way contract into standard NBA contract

Allonzo Trier is currently on a two-way contract with the New York Knicks, meaning he can only spend a maximum of 45 days in the NBA. Once he hits that mark — and he is close to to doing so — he has to be relegated to the G League for the rest of the season.

Well, the Knicks have reportedly decided he is too good for that, and plan to convert his two-way contract into a standard NBA contract this week, according to ZagsBlog.

In order to do that, the Knicks have to create a roster spot for Trier, and then will have to negotiate with him after the season in order to secure him long-term.
