True freshman Will Plummer will make his first career start on Saturday night when the Arizona Wildcats host the Colorado Buffaloes.
Plummer will be started for sophomore Grant Gunnell, who did not dress after suffering a shoulder injury on the first play of last week’s 27-10 loss at UCLA. Plummer was 17 of 35 for 151 yards and two interceptions along with 49 rushing yards in his collegiate debut.
Gunnell had thrown for 547 yards and six touchdowns in Arizona’s first two games.
Also out for the UA against Colorado: sophomore offensive tackle Jordan Morgan, who is still dealing with an ankle injury that kept him out of the UCLA game, and redshirt junior linebacker Jalen Harris, who is dealing with a hamstring injury.
