The NCAA Softball Championship starts this week with 64 teams playing across 16 regional locations. The 16 regional winners will advance to best-of-three super regionals, and the eight who survive will earn spots in the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.
The USA TODAY Sports Network tasked writers who cover softball with picking every regional, super regional and the eventual WCWS champion. Here are their predictions:
NCAA Regional picks
Norman Regional
Ryan Aber, The Oklahoman: Oklahoma – Top-seed Sooners continue chasing the all-time HR record with regional sweep.
Will Backus, Knoxville News Sentinel: Oklahoma – Texas A&M provides an interesting early hurdle, but the Sooners are too potent to get bounced from the regional.
