The Pac-12 will hold a postseason baseball tournament for the first time starting in 2021.
The Republic confirmed a story first reported by the Arizona Daily Star on Thursday night. The Pac-12 has yet to announce it will join other Power 5 conferences by holding a tournament that will decide its NCAA Tournament automatic qualifier.
According to the Daily Star story, the tournament will be held from 2021-23 at Scottsdale Stadium, spring training home of the San Francisco Giants.
The 2021 and 2022 NCAA men's and women's golf championships also will be held in Scottsdale at Grayhawk Golf Club, where they were to be played this year before cancellation due to the coronavirus pandemic.
