There are multiple incentives for No. 21 Arizona State women's basketball in Friday's rivalry rematch against Arizona.
Foremost, ASU lost the first meeting on Dec. 30, scoring a season low 39 points in a 12-point loss that proved how much UA has improved from a 6-24 record in 2017-18.
The Sun Devils have not lost two straight in the series since the last meeting in 2003 and first in 2004. In 31 games since then, ASU leads 26-5.
The Wildcats last won two rivalry games in the same season in 2000, when coach Charli Turner Thorne was in her fourth season at ASU.
