No. 2 Stanford sweeps Arizona 25-21, 25-21, 25-7 in three quick matches at the Maples Pavilion on Friday night, making Arizona 1-2 in conference, 7-5 overall.
Both sets before halftime were very close but the Wildcats were only able to score 49 points against undefeated Stanford, who after tonight are 3-0, and 11-2 overall. After halftime, Arizona head coach Dave Rubio had to call back to back timeouts when down 7-4 and 9-4. It was all downhill from there.
