Arizona hung on for a wild 45-37 victory over New Mexico in front of 30,289 fans at University Stadium.
The win enabled the Wildcats to finish above .500 at 7-6 after a difficult and injury-filled season. The Lobos also finished 7-6.
Senior tailback Jared Baker, starting for the injured Nick Wilson, rushed for 107 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Anu Solomon, back in the lineup after missing the regular-season finale, passed for 329 yards and two scores. He also rushed for a touchdown. Receiver Cayleb Jones had four catches for 182 yards and a TD.
Arizona appeared to be on the verge of blowing an 18-point second-half lead.
