Believe it or not, but the greatest coach in Arizona Wildcats history technically entered this year on the outside of college basketball’s Hall of Fame. But not anymore.
The National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame announced Tuesday that Lute Olson had been selected as part the Class of 2019. He is part of a nine-member class alongside Duke’s Shane Battier, Indiana’s Calbert Cheaney, Purdue’s Terry Dischinger, Providence’s Ernie DeGregorio, UNLV’s Larry Johnson and Stanford’s Todd Lichti as well as former coaches Homer Drew and Rick Majerus.
