The Chicago Bulls announced Monday that Lauri Markkanen will miss two to four weeks with a right shoulder strain.
The former Arizona Wildcat suffered the injury while driving to the basket in a loss to the Orlando Magic last weekend.
It is a tough break for Markkanen, who is having a career season. The 23-year-old is averaging a career-best 19.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 51.4 percent from the field and 39.6 percent from 3. Both percentages are career highs.
Unfortunately, injuries have been commonplace for the Finn, who only played 52 and 50 games in 2018-19 and 2019-20, respectively.
