Kobi Simmons scores 21 points in NBA Summer League opener

The former Arizona Wildcat poured in 21 points in just 27 minutes as his Memphis Grizzlies beat the Atlanta Hawks, 103-88, in Salt Lake City.

Simmons was 8-of-13 from the field, including a 2-of-3 mark from 3. He also had three assists and two rebounds.

Only Jaren Jackson Jr., the Grizzlies’ first-round pick, scored more than Simmons. Here are Simmons’ highlights:

Simmons is entering his second season in the Grizzlies organization. A two-way player, he split time between the NBA and G League last season.
