There are reasons center Kaleb Tarczewski's stated return Friday to the Arizona Wildcats next season had become a formality, and it wasn't just about those second-round NBA Draft projections.
Culture had a lot to do with it, too. Tarczewski grew up in a New Hampshire log cabin, unexposed to the fast-tracking mindset of glamorous travel-ball until high school, and is known to be a good student pursuing a business degree at Arizona.
He's also been coached by two veterans who constantly preach patience and process: UA's Sean Miller, and former Boston Celtics coach John Carroll, who has mentored Tarczewski since his travel-ball days.
