The Arizona Wildcats are on the brink of elimination after losing their first game at the College World Series. The road out of the loser’s bracket begins Monday with a familiar foe, the Stanford Cardinal.
The UA (45-17) lost two of three to Stanford (38-16) in Palo Alto, Calif. back in May, but since mid-April it hasn’t lost consecutive games.
The winner will advance to a game Wednesday, while the loser is done after two games.
