The Arizona Wildcats officially begin their season Thursday night with a home contest against UTSA.
Then, over the following 11 Saturdays, the UA will try to navigate its 12-game, no-bye-in-sight schedule. The hellacious slate has been the talk of the preseason.
“Hey, did you guys know we play 12 straight games this year with no bye week?” coach Rich Rodriguez cracked last month.
Whether he’s ready to turn the page or not, Rodriguez’s focus will undoubtedly shift to preparing for the actual opponents and forgetting the difficult setup.
