Arizona men's basketball is facing another tough home test tonight at McKale Center against the Long Beach State 49ers, with the Wildcats leading 44-34 at half.
Allonzo Trier leads all scorers with 11 points. Kadeem Allen has nine and Mark Tollefsen added seven, as the Wildcats have shot the ball 46 percent from the field and 56 percent from three-point range. Arizona has also shot 15-16 from the free throw line.
Long Beach came out firing to start, getting two quick threes from guard Nick Faust to go up 6-0. Arizona settled down and thanks to a 10-0 run late in the half, the Wildcats were able to grab the lead.
