It truly is a players program that we have in Tucson. Kids will come from seemingly everywhere just to get the chance to play at the next level. For former Wildcat Kobi Simmons, that mantra is certainly no different.
Playing at Arizona from 2016-17, Simmons came all the way from St. Francis High School in Atlanta, GA to play in Tucson. While he would only last one season here, Simmons has since gone on to the NBA.
Leaving school early, Simmons would go undrafted, but would play most of his rookie season, bouncing between the G-League and the Memphis Grizzlies.
