Things are heating up in the NFL as teams will kick-off the playoffs this weekend. For former Wildcat Earl Mitchell, he will be looking to get back into the flow of things, especially as he re-joins the San Francisco 49ers.
For those who maybe didn’t catch it, Earl actually had announced his retirement earlier this year, having not played in a single game for 2019. After just nine seasons with three different teams, the veteran nose tackle had called it quits.
That is until this past Tuesday! With the 49ers preparing for their first NFL playoff game next weekend, it was announced by the organization via social media that they would actually be bringing Mitchell out of retirement, immediately activating him for the playoffs.
