The New Orleans Pelicans announced earlier Sunday that Small Forward Solomon Hill tore his hamstring and would need surgery, effectively ending his entire 2017-2018 season before it even begins.

Last season, his first with the Pelicans after signing a monster deal worth four years $48 million, Hill had a career year. He spent his first three seasons in the NBA with the Indiana Pacers, starting 78 games in the 2014 season. That was the year that Paul George missed all but a few games. When he chose to leave the Pacers, there were questions as to if the Pelicans were overpaying him.
