Former Arizona Wildcats defensive lineman Joe Salave’a was inducted into the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday.
The 43-year-old was one of four former players to be inducted. The rest of the 2019 class consists of former ASU defensive tackle Dan Saleaumua, former USC linebacker Lofa Tatupu and former Washington quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo.
The quartet will be honored during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend and the Polynesian Bowl on Jan. 18 and 19, 2019, respectively.
Salave’a, of Samoan ancestry, attended the UA from 1993-1997 where he was a three-year starter and two-time All-Pac-10 performer.
