Lorenzo Burns didn’t join former Arizona teammates Roy Lopez and Gary Brightwell in hearing his name called Saturday at the NFL Draft, but the cornerback will still have a chance of realizing his professional dreams.
Burns has signed an undrafted free-agent deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
A 5-foot-10 cornerback out of Murrieta, Calif., Burns started four seasons as a Wildcat and was named 2019 and 2020 All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. In Arizona’s shortened five-game 2020 season, he recorded 24 total tackles, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery.
