University of Arizona women's basketball coach Adia Barnes is big on visualization. Before her team departed for the NCAA Tournament she took her players inside the McKale Center and hauled a ladder to one end of the court. One by one, players climbed the ladder to snip a part of a net cord.
It is a traditional celebratory thing for teams that win a championship or advance past a regional to the precipice of a title.
"I'm really big on visualization and envisioning yourself in that moment so I thought a great idea would actually be to practice what we're going to do," Barnes said earlier this week.
