The Arizona Wildcats are not on trial in New York, but the program keeps getting brought up in testimony during a federal basketball corruption case that began Monday.
Brian Bowen Sr., the father of a recruit who was at the center of an FBI bribery investigation involving college basketball programs and apparel companies, testified Thursday that Arizona was among a handful of schools that offered money, housing assistance or jobs in exchange for Brian ‘Tugs’ Bowen to go to school there.
The offers were allegedly coordinator by Christian Dawkins, a business manager who is one of three people on trial for federal wire fraud charges.
