The Arizona Wildcats family was struck by some tragic news on Wednesday, when it was reported that former basketball star Michael Wright, who played for the program from 1998-2001, had died at the age of 35.
Farragut High School coach Wolf Nelson passed the news along to the Chicago Tribune.
Farragut coach Wolf Nelson has confirmed that Michael Wright died last night. He was 35. Played at Arizona, was drafted by Knicks in 2001.

There is very little information on Wright’s death, but police have said he was a “victim” in the case which indicates there may have been foul play involved in his death.
