Former Arizona Wildcats forward Emmanuel Akot is set to transfer to Boise State, according to the Exum Elite Twitter account, which Akot retweeted.
The 6-foot-7 Canadian is finishing up the spring semester at the UA, so he will join the Broncos in the summer. The sophomore will have to sit out the 2019-20 season before having two years of eligibility at Boise State.
Akot unexpectedly announced his decision to transfer from Arizona in January after the Wildcats returned from the Bay Area road trip.
The timing was curious because Akot had started in 11 straight games and the Wildcats were unbeaten in conference play at the time.
