Arizona’s loss to Washington State was still fresh Monday when Will Parks let himself into the Lowell/Stevens Football Facility’s weight room and began lifting.
The extra work was voluntary. But given the way Arizona’s defense is playing, every extra rep can help. As Parks' muscles grew, so, too, did confidence that was shattered by an ugly loss.
“It’s like this,” the senior safety said, his trademark smile fading. “Every day we wake up and this is what we do. We’ve been doing it since we were 6 years old. … To fail is, to me, to lose something that’s real important to you.
