Deandre Ayton is heading into his second season with the Phoenix Suns, and it will also be his fifth year living in Arizona after playing a season of college basketball in Tucson and finishing high school in the Phoenix area.
But Ayton has never forgotten where he came from, even more so now that his native Bahamas are dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian.
To help aid with the relief efforts on the islands where he lived until age 12, Ayton announced Friday he has pledged $100,000 toward the cause.
