TUCSON - At first glance, playing in the NCAA Tournament’s First Four looks like a disaster.
First, as Wichita State did for the right to face Arizona on Thursday in Providence, R.I., you’ve gotta start hustling out the door to prepare and practice right after Selection Sunday announcements.
Then, you’ve gotta fly out as early as Monday to get there in time, play the game on Tuesday or Wednesday, and then fly to the next city quickly afterward to prepare for a real first-round game on Thursday or Friday against a team that has been resting and preparing for four or five days.
