Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott believes football officiating in the conference is better than it's perceived.
Wisconsin fans, still angry about officiating mistakes at the end of the Badgers' loss at Arizona State in 2013, would dispute Scott while likely applauding his progressive move to hire David Coleman away from the NFL as Pac-12 Vice President of Officiating.
Coleman, who as NFL director of officiating since 2010 supervised the league's officiating development program, was introduced to Pac-12 football coaches Wednesday during Pac-12 spring meetings at the Arizona Biltmore. He is responsible for overseeing football officiating and developing training and accountability in the conference.
