SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — It's that time of year when every basketball coach is optimistic — even those that have not been as successful in what most agree is the most competitive women's basketball conference in the country.
The Pac-12 officially kicked off basketball season with media day at the conference headquarters. Oregon, an NCAA semifinalist a year ago, was the overwhelming coaches choice to repeat in the coaches poll which was released early in the day.
One by one each coach took the stage accompanied by two players.
