Rome wasn’t built in a day, and for the Arizona Women’s Basketball team, changing the losing culture into a winning one isn’t an easy feat for Adia Barnes.
However, as Barnes completed her third year with the Wildcats, she delivered a winning season, mostly led by young players.
Finishing the regular season 17-12, with a double-overtime loss to then No. 11 Oregon State, the Wildcats began the conference tourney, looking to improve their resume for the NIT perhaps.
Arizona began the tourney hot, throttling USC in the first game to advance to the tournament quarterfinals, against the top-seeded Oregon Ducks.
