Arizona's Allonzo Trier sidelined after failed PED test

Arizona sophomore guard Allonzo Trier, who has yet to play this season, was suspended after failing a random NCAA performance-enhancing drug test, according to a report by ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Trier reportedly failed the drug test in September, and UA was informed in October. Trier won an appeal, but the NCAA prohibited him from playing until the drug is out of his system.

Trier released a statement on Wednesday night, saying he was "shocked" when a "trace amount of a banned performance-enhancing drug" was found in the test. He added he does not know when the substance will completely leave his system.
