University of Arizona guard Aari McDonald is among 30 players named to the 2020-21 NCAA women's college basketball preseason Wooden Award candidate list.
McDonald is one of four Pac-12 players on the list announced Tuesday. That includes junior Lexie Hull and senior Kiana Williams of Stanford as well as UCLA senior forward Michaela Onyenwere.
The 5-foot-6 senior McDonald's nomination for college basketball's most coveted individual award is from her achievements during the 2019-20 season.
She was the Wildcats' and Pac-12's top scorer at 20.6 point per game last season. She was also Arizona's second-best rebounder averaging 5.
