Arizona women’s golf advances to NCAA quarterfinals

The defending champs are moving on.

The Arizona Wildcats women’s golf team posted the sixth-best score in stroke play of NCAA Championships this weekend to propel them into Tuesday’s quarterfinals of match play.

Arizona’s opponent is to be determined—stroke play will be completed Tuesday morning—but as of now the Wildcats would face USC, which was the top-ranked team in the country entering the tournament.

The quarterfinals are scheduled for 8-10:30 a.m. PT. If the Wildcats beat USC, they would play in the semifinals from 1-5 p.
