Kadeem Allen had nine points, four assists and three rebounds over the first half of his first Division I game to lead Arizona to a 41-24 halftime lead over shorthanded Pacific at McKale Center.
Allen started at point guard in the Wildcats’ season opener, along with Gabe York at shooting guard, Mark Tollefsen at small forward, Ryan Anderson at power forward and Kaleb Tarczewski at center.
Pacific is playing without three projected starters: Eric Thompson, Sami Eleraky and Alec Kobre from making the trip while Pacific and the NCAA continued a joint investigation into allegations of academic misconduct.
