Ryan Anderson had 11 points and eight rebounds to lead Arizona to a 37-24 halftime lead over Division II Chico State in an exhibition game tonight at McKale Center.
While the host Wildcats romped to a 12-0 start, holding Chico State scoreless for over four minutes to start the game, Chico State went on a 9-1 run to close within 15-11 and played competitively the rest of the half.
Chico State is one of the top teams in Division II. Those Wildcats were picked to win the Division II California Collegiate Athletic Association title this season, returning two all-league players from a team that went 22-8 last season.
