Arizona Wildcats take 34-27 halftime lead over Santa Clara

FULLERTON, Calif. – Arizona shot poorly and committed 10 turnovers in the first half while sweating out a 34-27 halftime lead over winless Santa Clara in a first round Wooden Legacy game at Titan Gym.

The Wildcats were just 1 of 11 from three-point range and watched its leads of up to 17 points get whittled down late in the first half. During one late stretch of about three and a half minutes, UA was scoreless with 0-for-6 shooting and three turnovers.

Arizona did find success inside with Kaleb Tarczewski, who had seven points and seven rebounds before halftime, while Mark Tollefsen came off the bench to add another seven points.
