Arizona, coming off a 3-9 season, is picked to finish sixth in the Pac-12 South in a preseason media poll. The Wildcats return six offensive starters and seven defensive starters plus a returning kicker. Here's how they shape up.
Strengths
Running game. UA topped the Pac-12 in rushing in 2016 with 235 yards per game and could again if healthy. Backs J.J. Taylor and Nick Wilson are talented and dual-threat QB Brandon Dawkins led the Wildcats with 944 yards last year. True freshman RB Nathan Tilford, like Taylor last season, is too good to keep off the field.
