The Arizona Wildcats discovered their postseason fate Sunday night after being named the No. 14 seed in the NCAA Softball Tournament bracket, and will host a Regional for another year.
Arizona (40-14, 13-11) will play Saint Francis (Pa.), a team that finished the season 39-17 and went undefeated in the Northeastern conference. Mississippi State and North Dakota State are also in Arizona's double-elimination regional. Arizona's first game against Saint Francis will be played on Friday at 8:30 p.m. at Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium.
Now in his 33rd season at the helm, Mike Candrea hasn't made it past the Super Regional since 2010, but has led the Wildcats to 32 consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament, which is the longest active streak in college softball.
