After the moderator gushed to coach Dan Majerle over Grand Canyon's student section, the former Suns star turned to Arizona coach Sean Miller on Wednesday and quipped, "I told him to come check it out."
They weren't at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Wednesday to announce any home-and-home series, but to promote a Dec. 5 nationally televised Valley of the Sun Shootout, a doubleheader at the Suns' arena featuring UA taking on Texas A&M and GCU playing St. John's.
Next year, GCU will return the favor and travel to New York to play former NBA star Chris Mullin's St.
