Outlook: Cal Poly (1-0) is coming off an 82-75 win over NAIA Menlo in its regular season opener on Wednesday. Senior G Donovan Fields, a Big West honorable mention selection last year, led the way with a career-high 30 points. Senior guard Marcellus Garrick added 16, while senior forward Kuba Niziol came off the bench and contributed 12 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. The Mustangs were just 9-22 last season which included a 4-10 mark in the Big West.
