The Pac-12 Track and Field Championships took place last week, and Arizona Wildcat Jordan Geist won the Discus and the Shotput finals, making him a Champion. To top it off, he was named the Pac-12 Men’s Track and Field Freshman of the Year.
Geist, Saxonburg, Pa. native, went undefeated this season and earned Pac-12 Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honors three times this past season. His season-best mark of 20.06m (65-9.75) won him the Championship.
But Geist didn’t just win the Championship, he is the first freshman to ever win the shot put title in the Pac-12 and he is also the first freshman to double in the Discus and the Shot Put.
