The Wildcats were extremely eager to take the court and also very fresh as their previous two matches which were to be played in Florida were canceled due to Hurricane Irma. Overall Arizona looked very eager and played smart against the Sun Devils, winning by scores of 26-24, 25-18, and 25-22.
Arizona State started pulling ahead midway through the first set, going ahead by a score of 19-16. They played good defense while Arizona committed errors on balls that hit just outside the lines. Eventually, the Wildcats pulled closer and finally went ahead to win the first set.
