The University of Arizona volleyball team paid the price for not finishing off USC when it had the chance.
The Wildcats failed to convert on three set points in the opening game Sunday and went on to lose to the No. 1 Trojans 3-1 in Los Angeles. Game scores were 27-29, 22-25, 28-26, 14-25.
The No. 12-ranked Wildcats fell to 13-7 overall and 3-5 in the Pac-12. USC is 20-0 and 8-0.
UA’s Kalei Mau had 26 kills and Penina Snuka added 35 assists and 16 digs. UA hosts Colorado at 8 p.m. Friday. The match will air on Pac-12 Arizona.
