Arizona to allow up to 5,000 fans at spring football game

The Arizona Wildcats announced Wednesday that up to 5,000 fans will be able to attend the spring football game at noon on April 24.

That is less than 10 percent of Arizona Stadium’s capacity, but athletic director Dave Heeke said this is the “next step in this important process” to reopen UA events to fans.

So far, UA softball and baseball games have been operating around 16% capacity.

“We have worked with the Pima County Health Department, the state of Arizona and campus partners throughout this important process that began with a very limited amount of player and coach guests at baseball and softball games,” Heeke said in the Wildcat Wednesday newsletter.
