Arizona softball uses big second inning to destroy Utah

Arizona softball continues to tear through the Pac-12.

The Wildcats scored 12 runs in the second inning as they run-ruled Utah 22-1 on Saturday to extend their winning streak to 13 games.

Arizona (31-7) improves to 11-0 in conference play, with eight of those wins coming via run-rule. The Wildcats have outscored their opponents 93-9 in conference play.

Arizona peppered 19 hits, including five homers, in Saturday’s win.

Jessie Harper hit a grand slam to kick off the explosive second inning, which was immediately followed with back-to-back homers by Dejah Mulipola and Malia Martinez.
