In a game that saw only nine total hits, and two errors apiece for both teams, the Wildcats were able to win a sloppy one against New Mexico, 3-1.
Sophomore Alyssa Denham got the start for the ‘Cats, and she went the whole game, allowing one run on five hits, while striking out a career high of 10.
“Not my 'A' game,” Denham said of her performance. “You can have 20 strikeouts and still feel like you’re not your best, so my goal is just to keep improving every single game.”
Freshman Ivy Davis, who has been impressive since she joined the starting lineup, hit her third homer of the year in the bottom of the second, a two-run line drive to get the scoring started for Arizona.
