The Arizona Wildcats were shutout for the fourth time in five games Sunday, falling to Stanford 4-0 in Palo Alto.
The Wildcats have now lost nine straight games and during that span have scored in just three games.
Arizona’s offense was lifeless for most of the afternoon as the No. 14 Cardinal didn’t allow a UA shot attempt until the 87th minute.
The Wildcats (3-12, 0-8 Pac-12) conceded three first half goals to Stanford. Maya Doms put the Cardinal on the board early with a 14th minute score.
Stanford’s Belle Briede, the older sister of Arizona freshman forward Olivia Briede, scored the Cardinal’s second goal in the 28th minute.
