As part of our summer-long Q&A series, the Arizona Daily Star is exploring all facets of the Arizona athletic department, from its athletes and coaches to academic counselors and department heads. All with interesting jobs, all with unique stories.

The department’s senior associate athletic director for events, facilities and operations, Mason is at the heart of what keeps the Wildcats running. It takes more than 1,000 people to staff a football game day —there are usually four dozen people in weekly football planning meetings — and Mason finds it her duty to understand each of their roles.
