The Arizona women’s basketball team is heading to the postseason, as the Wildcats earned an at-large bid to the WNIT on Monday.
The official bracket with pairings and game times will be revealed at 6:30 p.m. PT. The UA has bid to host the tournament and should have a compelling case to do so.
This is Arizona’s first postseason appearance since 2011. The Wildcats are 18-13, including a 7-11 record in the Pac-12, their most wins in both respects since 2011.
“I think it’s a really good step for this program and it’s really good for the young players to get experience because once you get that experience and you’re hungry for more and then the bar is raised for next year,” Arizona coach Adia Barnes said last week.
