Poor defense and a slow start gave Arizona men’s basketball its first home loss of the season after losing to UCLA 82-74 at the McKale Center.
The Wildcats haven't lost at home since last year when UCLA beat them 77-72 in the final home game of the 2016-17’ season.
The Wildcats 19-6 (9-3) are now tied with USC 17-7 (8-3) for first place in the Pac-12. Arizona will get a chance to rebound from the loss and regain the lead in the Pac-12 when USC comes to McKale Center on Saturday.
Arizona put itself in a difficult situation in the first few minutes of the game when it let UCLA jump to a quick 10-3 lead.
